I have a bunch of Berkshire Hathaway securities on hand that I bought decades ago, and they& #39;re sitting in a safe deposit box. But they& #39;re of little practical use to me, and I haven& #39;t used any of this wealth. It& #39;s also of little use to my family, and has the potential to cause my family harm.

But that money doesn& #39;t make much of a difference in my life. I have all the things I want. Even if I had only 1% of my current wealth left, I still have all the things I want. The amount of money won& #39;t change my relationships with the people I love or the things I enjoy doing every day. It& #39;s true that it& #39;s nice to have a lot of money, but I have so much money that money is no longer useful to me. I& #39;ve spent less than 1% of what I& #39;ve earned in my life, and I plan to donate the remaining 99% to others.
